Your Support and Volunteer Participation is Welcomed at St. Columban’s on the Lake
New arrivals at St. Columban’s on the Lake Retirement Home find much more than a supportive, safe and affordable place to live—they also acquire a second family. Not surprisingly then, our residents’ “first” families often feel connected to our mission of care and look for opportunities to help. In response, we offer many ways for residents, their families, and members of the broader community to get involved—whether that’s through volunteering or financial contributions.
Though administered by the Columban Sisters, our home is a completely self-supporting, non-profit organization that receives no financial assistance from the state or diocese. Though our economic resources are fixed, these key directives are never compromised:
- Providing our residents with attentive care and an engaging environment.
- Maintaining, upgrading, and renovating facilities and grounds as necessary to ensure a home that is safe, secure and modern … and also emotionally warm and aesthetically pleasing.
- Exploring and implementing new ideas for enhancing our residents’ quality of life.
We are determined to create loving homes for individuals in need of assistive care … without regard to earning statements or investor expectations. Our “bottom line” has little to do with money and a lot to do about people.
